"A new activity was introduced in Pembroke High School this year. A school newspaper, namely The Corridor
, made its debut December 9, 1938. The newspaper contains write-ups on school activities, classroom anecdotes' and school quips. The editors hope that the school will carry on this worthwhile activity and make it an institution in Pembroke High School." [Reprint from The Corridor 1939]
It is the mission of this website to carry on this activity and to preserve the memories of the past.

Went to PHS tonight ( It`s called the community center now) to meet with the Recreational Dept to talk about replacing the sign at the ball field that my Great Grandfather Henry Magoun Sr donated to the Town of Pembroke. It`s on the corner of Route 53 and 139 (Scoosett St). They all thought it was pretty funny when I told them that Miss Boornazian tried to teach me typing for two years in that same room they meet in and that I still have to hunt and peck with two fingers….No matter what they say old PHS still looks in pretty good shape and the town uses most of the classrooms and they said that they still use the gym for basketball games….Ed Leadbettor
